3D image reconstruction using square path SAR data

چکیده

Airborne synthetic aperture radar (SAR) systems are being employed for remote sensing. In some cases the target area is scanned in a square path flight. In order to test data processing algorithms for such datasets, a laboratory experiment has been carried out. Such data acquisition was simulated in a controlled ground based environment with 3 distinct targets. In this paper, two approaches of forming 3-dimensional (3D-) images of the target area are described and compared. We used the two well known migration algorithms back projection and ω-k-migration in both approaches. The results are compared with respect to matching of physical target properties in the images.
